Toni Bruno
Bio
Born in Catania in 1982, Toni Bruno is an acclaimed illustrator and comic book artist currently living and working in Rome. Over the years, his versatile style has led to collaborations with prominent magazines such as L’Unità, Il Misfatto, Sotto il vulcano, and Sherwood Comix, as well as creating iconic album artwork for the band Banda Bassotti.
Bruno has authored several significant graphic novels that blend social commentary with compelling storytelling, including: "Non mi uccise la morte" (The story of Stefano Cucchi), "Lo psicotico domato" e "Kurt Cobain – Quando ero un alieno"
In partnership with BAO Publishing, he released "Da quassù la terra è bellissima" (2016), which earned him the prestigious Gran Guinigi – Special Jury Prize. This was followed by the epic two-volume saga "La Belgica" (2019–2021). His contribution to the medium was further recognized in 2020 when he received the Premio Carlo Boscarato for Best Italian Artist.
Toni continues to be a leading figure in the industry, collaborating with Sergio Bonelli Editore on the legendary Dylan Dog series. He is also part of the creative team for Star Wars: The High Republic Adventures, bringing his unique vision to a galaxy far, far away.
